How TrackView uses it
Darwin gives TrackView live running information: forecast times, platforms, delays and cancellations. Network Rail’s timetable, signalling and allocation data adds the planned timetable, where trains are on the line, and which units are working which services. TrackView combines these and adds its own analysis, such as inferring a departure the feed hasn’t yet reported and calculating punctuality over time. Where a figure is TrackView’s own analysis, it is labelled as such.
Accuracy and limits
Live train information can be late, incomplete or wrong. TrackView does not alter the times the feeds report, and where it adds an estimate of its own, it says so. For anything that matters to your journey, check the station display or National Rail before you travel.
Live data can be late or inaccurate. Provided as is, without guarantee of accuracy or availability.
Independence
TrackView is an independent project. It isn’t run by, affiliated with or endorsed by National Rail, Rail Delivery Group, Network Rail or any train operator. TrackView is independent and not endorsed by National Rail or Network Rail.
